April was by far my most successful month for cracking my creative spirit wide open!! My Awakened Creativity retreat in Park City was the highlight; art, writing, yoga, community! It was the most enlightening weekend filled with incredible people and food and creation. Our artist workshop with Hilary Jacobsen was one of my favorite parts of the retreat and I still can't believe I painted this Queen Bee.
There was also Yoga Night at the Museum where I was able to teach yoga to about 40 people right down on the main floor of the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art. The interaction we had with the art and the experience of being in such acreative place was palpable. Truly on of the coolest places I have ever taught!
April was also National Poetry Awareness Month and I read one poem every day, often more. I also took a stab at writing poetry again and it felt rusty but good. Really good. My creative bandwidth is so full of kids and work that I thought I wouldn't be able to access it, but I was pleased to know it was still there and I was able to pull words together in a way that felt poetic—even lovely. Things are shifting.
