A New Year, A New Mindset

It's January of a new year and I don't know about you but I just can't bring myself to make a resolution.  I'm open to making changes, I just can't settle on which ones I should focus on first.  I was reading in a magazine and felt inspired by an article about being more mindful.  By being more aware of my thoughts, being more present, I feel like it could lead me to a more honest and happier place.  I believe our thoughts lead to action, so perhaps by approaching things with a fresh mindset I can make unexpected changes this year.sunrise meditation Even if you don't feel the need to make drastic changes in your habits, here are some ways to think differently that will perhaps lead to organic healthy choices this year.

1. Approach everyday things with curiosity - and savor them

2. Forgive your mistakes big or small

3.  Show gratitude for good moments -and grace for bad ones

4.  Practice compassion and nurture connections

5.  Make peace with imperfection inside and out

6.  Embrace vulnerability by trusting others and yourself

7.  Accept and appreciate that things come and go
